How is it Different from Conventional
“Thermal Insulation” and “Heat Shielding”?

Insulation and heat shielding are technologies designed to “keep heat out.”

The primary reason buildings get hot is “solar heat entering through the roof.”
Insulation and heat-shielding materials are mechanisms designed to “prevent outside heat from entering the interior.”

Heat shielding mechanism: Reflects sunlight but gradually stores trapped heat, causing temperatures to rise.

Heat shielding is a technology that reflects sunlight to minimize the heat energy reaching the roof. It is more effective under strong sunlight, but any heat that is absorbed rather than reflected remains inside.

Thermal insulation mechanism: Slows heat transfer but cannot release heat, causing temperatures to rise over time.

Thermal insulation creates a layer inside walls and roofs that “resists heat transfer.” It is a technology that slows down the rate at which heat enters, but it does not reduce the heat itself. Once it warms up, it tends to retain the heat.
